January 9

Twelfth Night, Hamilton Homes, Oswego, NY. 7:00 p.m.

We are taking part in a Twelfth Night winter celebration, where we will dancing and performing a mumming play.

April 24

NEFFA Festival, Mansfield, MA. 12:00 p.m.

The New England Folk Festival Association (NEFFA) puts on its annual music and dance festival each April. It has become the first dance performance for many morris teams throughout the northeast and features continuous performances at the main entrance on Saturday and Sunday. We will be sharing the performance slot with Great Meadows and Half Moon Sword. Rain location inside the High School, Room 125.

May 1

May Day Celebration, Thornden Park water tower, Syracuse, NY. 6:00 a.m. (dawn!)

This year is the 30th May Day celebrated on Water Tower Hill by Syracuse's original morris team, Thornden Morris. It is the Hound's 26th appearance. This year will see performances by seven area morris and sword teams from Syracuse, Ithaca, and Rochester, as well as the much anticipated mummer play, and, as always, the Maypole dance. Come help us dance up the sun and welcome in the spring.

  • 9:45 - Onondaga Lake Park (near the Marina)
  • 11:00 - Baldwinsville Public Library

July 9-11

Dog Days Ale. Weekend Event. Trumansburg, NY and environs.

We've held this ale pretty much annually since 1994. As usual, we will be hosting it in the Finger Lakes surrounding Trumansburg, NY. See the Dog Days Ale page for more detailed information.

September 19

Westcott Street Cultural Fair. Syracuse, NY. 1:00 p.m.

The Westcott Street Cultural Fair is a annual event celebrating the diversity of cultures in the free-thinking university neighborhood long known as the Westcott Nation. The Hounds and Thornden Morris will perform at 1:00 at the Harvard St Stage.

December 19

Skaneateles Dickens Christmas, Library, Skaneateles, NY. 1:30 p.m.

The Hounds and Thornden Morris will be performing at the Skaneateles Dickens Christmas. We will be dancing and performing a traditional mummers play in the upstairs function room at the Skaneateles Library located at 49 E Genesee St.
