May 1

May Day Celebration, Thornden Park water tower, Syracuse, NY.

This year is the 21th May Day celebrated on Water Tower Hill by Syracuse's original morris team, Thornden Morris. It is the Hound's 17th appearance. This year will see performances by four area morris teams and a sword team, as well as the much anticipated mummer play, and, as always, the Maypole dance. Come help us dance up the sun and welcome in the spring.

Performance at 6:00 am (dawn!) with Thornden Morris, Ribbonsteel Rapper, Salt Springs Morris, and Heartwood Morris.

Afterwards, we did our increasing more formalized tour of various schools and daycare facilities. This year we were at Manlius Pebble Hill at 9:30 a.m.; Montessori pre-school at 10:30 a.m.; and the New School at 11:30 a.m. In the evening, we regrouped and danced in Armory Square in downtown Syracuse. Red Herring Morris Day of Dance, Salem & Nahant, MA.

Lilac Sunday, Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Plain, MA.

Lilac Sunday is a spring open house for Harvard's Arnold Arboretum. Most of the Boston-area teams get together for a day of dance to help celebrate. This is the Hounds' second appearance. (Photo Album)

June 2

Second First Annual “Not Quite An Ale”, New London, CT.

July 7-8

Dog Days Ale, Trumansburg, NY and environs.

We've held this ale pretty much annually since 1994. This will be our fourth time holding it in the Finger Lakes surrounding Trumansburg, NY. (Photo Albums: Saturday & Sunday)

August 20

Norstar Apartments, Liverpool, NY.

Scottish Farmfair Relief Benefit, Cortland, NY.

A benefit being held at the Cortland County Fairgrounds for Scottish farmers hard hit by hoof and mouth disease. Performance times TBA. Performing with Thornden Morris, Salt Springs Morris and Heartwood Morris.

September 22

Thornden Morris Twentieth Anniversary Ale, Syracuse, NY.
