Thanks to All Our Friends TOP

Thanks to the teams and individuals who attended this year's Dog Days Ale. We had more fun than ever and you all made it possible. We have put together a photo album with shots from both Saturday and Sunday.

List of Performers TOP

We are proud and happy to welcome the following teams to this year's Dog Days Ale.

Registration and Check In TOP

Check-in any time after 5:00 on Friday, July 15. Snacks will be available from 5:00 - ? on Friday night. Late check-in will be from 8:00 to 9:00 A.M. on Saturday. There will be a Squire's meeting at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday.

We are asking everyone to stop in to the registration tent when you arrive at camp to say hello, receive important communications about the ale, sign up for volunteer duties, get a snack, etc. However, we'd ask each team to designate one person for payments, official check-in, and distribution of buttons and t-shirts. We will give this person a registration packet to be handed out to the rest of the team.

There will be a signup sheet on the cider house asking for volunteers for some small jobs, which the ale czars would greatly appreciate your team's help with, and this is a great way to meet new people! We thank you in advance for your help with these volunteer jobs. You help us make the ale the wonderful event it is!

We have designated a section of the campsites for those families with children. This will facilitate the sharing of child care among parents, making it easier for parents to attend the campfire and still be able to keep an eye on their children.

We would also like to clarify some of the site rules to prevent misunderstandings.

  1. Please park along Rumsey Road, on the side closest to Peter's house. We need to keep Peter's driveway clear, although parking in the driveway for the purposes of unloading is fine.

  2. Remember that despite this being the Hounds' Dog Days Ale, no actual dogs or other pets are allowed on the premises.

  3. Please supervise your children. Although the ale site is located in a safe area with low vehicular traffic, there are some intrinsically dangerous aspects of the site. Children under the age of twelve need to be supervised at all times in the following areas.

    • Near the road
    • While wading or swimming in the pond
    • In the sauna
    • At the campfire

This can either be by the parent or by some other adult who has agreed to watch your child at this time in this area. Do not just assume that someone will do this. It is not a safe assumption.

Thank you all for your help with these matters. It will help make this a safe and enjoyable ale for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you at the ale!

Meals At The Ale TOP

All meals from Friday night's light snack to Sunday lunch are included in the Ale fee. The menus for the weekend will consist of vegetarian (largely ovo-lacto, not vegan) dishes. We have tried to anticipate food allergies and restrictions in menu planning.

Off Site Accommodations TOP

We have plenty of space on-site, but for the camping-impaired we offer a selection of bed and breakfasts that are within 10 minutes of the campsite. We encourage those who don't wish to camp on-site to make their reservations for these as soon as possible, as the Finger Lakes are a prominent tourist destination in the summertime.
